A catch-all email mailbox is one that gathers all the email messages sent to inactive email addresses. For instance, if your email address is info@domain.com, but someone miswrites it and sends an email to inof@domain.com, it will still be received in the catch-all mailbox that you have created. Only one single mailbox per domain can have this feature activated and in this way you will never miss emails because the other party has an obsolete email address or has made a spelling error. The disadvantage of creating a catch-all mailbox is that you may start receiving plenty of spam, but this problem can be resolved using an anti-spam filtering solution. It’s also crucial to keep in mind that a mailbox with an activated catch-all feature cannot redirect incoming messages to a 3rd-party email address.

Catch-all Emails in Hosting

If you host a domain name on our cloud platform and you’ve got a hosting account, you’ll be able to activate the catch-all feature for any email mailbox that you create under the domain. The Hepsia Control Panel’s Email Manager section comes with quite a lot of features, but it is amazingly simple to work with, so setting up a catch-all mailbox takes only a single click of the mouse. All the email addresses that you’ve got will be displayed in this section alphabetically and you will simply have to click on the "Catch-all" button associated with the given address. Our system will notify you if there’s already another catch-all mailbox enabled for that domain or if the one that you want to be a catch-all mailbox has email forwarding enabled, so you can either turn off the latter feature or select a different mailbox. Disabling the catch-all option is just as easy and takes yet another mouse click on the same button.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers

The custom-built Hepsia Control Panel that is included with each semi-dedicated server package that we’re offering will permit you to set up a catch-all mailbox without difficulty even in case you don’t have much web/email hosting experience. All you need to do to accomplish that is click on the catch-all icon, which will be next to each email address that you have set up using your domains in the hosting Control Panel’s Email Manager section. As you can have just one mailbox with this feature per domain name, our system will notify you if you have already set up a different catch-all mailbox or if the one that you want to use has email forwarding enabled. If you decide that you don’t need this feature any longer, you can disable it by clicking once again on the very same icon. The Email Manager will also allow you to see your catch-all mailboxes at a glance.
